On Episode 2 of Transfer Gossips You Need to Know, we bring you all the hot gossips and rumors from across the footballing world, in the summer transfer window. After some feedback, we have added a rating system, where we rate the probability of the transfer actually happening. Here are the ones you need to know from today:
Ben Chilwell to Chelsea: The Blue side of London is on a spending spree, after their transfer ban last season, and are on course to spend the most money in a single transfer window, in their history. The Leicester City fullback has been on the radar of several of the top English clubs including the likes of Manchester United. The transfer would already have been official by now, but heel injury to the 23-year old Englishman has held up proceedings. However, that shouldn’t be a problem, and as Sky Sports are reporting, the deal will go ahead in the next few days. Chilwell will be an excellent addition to Chelsea’s squad, who are in need of defensive reinforcements and are likely to sign PSG Captain, Thiago Silva, in the coming days as well.
Transfer Rating: 5/5
Ansu Fati to Manchester United: In a shock report, the Spanish outlet, Mundo Deportivo, has claimed that the Red Devils are considering the Barcelona starlet as an alternative to Jadon Sancho. Despite an extremely poor season, Ansu Fati has been one of the shining lights in this darkness for the Catalonians. However, in a forward line made up of Messi, Griezmann, Suarez, and Dembele, the 17-year old Fati will find it hard to get game-time. This, the media outlet believes might urge the Barcelona management and the player himself to make the move to Old Trafford. Adding caution to the wind, we must add that the youngster is a long-term prospect at Camp Nou – Barcelona will ask for a huge sum from the club in Manchester. Financially, both in the short-term and long-term, this might not be a very plausible deal.
Transfer Rating: 2/5
Pedro to Roma: After an illustrious career, playing alongside Messi at Camp Nou, Pedro made the move to Stanford Bridge. Looking back, he’d agree that he had a good time in London, winning the Premier League in the 2016-17 season, as well as the FA Cup and Europe League. He played a vital role in linking up the likes of Willian and Hazard. Pedro also has 5 La Liga’s and 3 Champions League’s in his trophy cabinet from his time at Camp Nou. Confirmed by AS Roma just minutes back, Pedro embarks on to the next chapter of his journey. Pedro was a free agent after his contract expired at Chelsea at the end of the season and will now love to the beautiful Italian city of Roma on a three-year deal.
