Giving full stop to all the obstacles, IPL 2020 is set to begin with her beauty from September 19.

With the IPL 2020 being shifted to UAE and keeping in mind about the current ongoing Pandemic, all the eight Owners being instructed to take proper care of their players. Arranging appropriate accommodation, proper training facilities, and safety become the major challenges for the franchises now.


Not only the players and teams will have to follow BCCI guidelines and follow the BIO-BUBBLE created by the authorities but also some serious norms are being created for the franchises as well.

Let’s dig deeper into the arrangements and safety concerns that the IPL franchises are looking for players and management teams.



Early Arrival


As it’s rightly said, “Health Comes First”. Keeping the rise and spread of Virus in mind, Almost every franchise management has pointed out that they are going to explore block Chartered flights for the team traveling to UAE and no regular flights will be used for the traveling purpose. 


Teams Staying Arrangements


With its full-fledged development, ultra-amazing skylines of high-rises, and world-famous beach resorts, the United Arab Emirates has become a favorite place to spend beautiful time. As the IPL bandwagon moves to the UAE this year, the owners of the teams have booked some of the world’s most luxurious hotels and resorts in order to give full comfort to their players and staff.


·      Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders, have shared their preference to stay in the island properties of Abu Dhabi.

·      Led by Virat Kohli, Royal Challengers Bangalore and David Warner’s Sunrisers Hyderabad will be staying in sea-facing properties in Dubai

·      Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals opted to Stay within the City.

·      KingsXI Punjab and Rajasthan Royals are too in the process of booking hotels in Dubai.


Bases and Venues


The Beauty of UAE is something you can’t take your eyes off and conducting IPL  in UAE is one of the most amazing decisions taken by BCCI. The matches will take place in three cities Sharjah, Dubai and Abu Dhabi which by distance and time to travel are not too far away from each other. Almost all the team have already decided their bases for the practice, they won’t be changing their bases at different stages of the tournament.


Since the mega event is knocking at the door and just weeks away, the franchises have already started the testing process of athletes. The players will have to perform tests, a number of times before their final entry into the bio-secure bubble.


In total 4 COVID-19 tests are mandatory for the players before they start training for this beautiful event.


The players will have to be in Quarantine in a hotel in India once they tested negative against the COVID-19 test result.

After serving the quarantine period in India with a negative test report, athletes will have to perform the test again before taking a chartered flight to the UAE.

The Players will have to pass another test on their arrival to UAE.

The fourth negative test report will allow the cricketers to start training for the IPL, before that the players will have to serve a seven days quarantine period at their respective accommodation in UAE.
